Dear Name, Your GNSS applications idea made the USA Challenge "Final Five"! Our panel of expert judges has selected [name of entry here as a finalist in the North American regional contest of the 2011 European Satellite Navigation Competition (ESNC). We invite you to present your idea at a USA Challenge awards ceremony at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 22 at the Portland, Oregon Convention Center during the Institute of Navigation GNSS 2011 conference.
The USA Challenge sponsors will provide one complimentary full registration to the conference and Inside GNSS will reimburse your representative’s travel expense (up to $750) to take part Please let us know by September 1 whether or not you can accept our invitation. (If you accept, send us the name and contact details of your representative.) Not sure if you should come? Here are five reasons why taking part in USA Challenge activities at ION GNSS 2011 will benefit you: • You'll present a short “fast pitch” description of your app at the awards ceremony. • Your app may be selected the "People's Choice" by ION attendees • You will meet possible partners in further technical development and commercialization of your innovation at the USA Challenge booth (705-707). • ION attendees will see a video presentation of your applications idea and those of the other finalists at the booth and the awards ceremony. • You'll receive a bronze USA Challenge "Oscar," permanent recognition for your achievement. If you can't send a representative in person, you must send us a video and/or other visual materials about you and your app in order to receive the USA Challenge finalist bronze award and be considered for the “People Choice.” We will send additional information soon with the technical details of the presentations.
