The ICG is composed of operators of the world’s four GNSSes and regional and augmentation systems. It was established by the United Nations Office of Outer Space Affairs and has had two annual meetings since its founding. In 2007, the ICG established a Providers Forum to discuss issues of compatibility and interoperability among systems.

The first members of the Providers Forum included China, the European Union, India, Japan, the Russian Federation and the United States. The forum will meet in tandem with the ICG.

The third ICG meeting will take place at the Westin Pasadena Hotel in Pasadena, California in December 2008.

This ICG-3 meeting will include an expanded agenda to permit time for the plenary session discussions, Provider Forum discussions and Working Group meetings.

Local arrangements have been made by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology and the offices of the International GNSS Service Central Bureau located at JPL.
