SpringerGeosciences has announced release of the latest book by Bernhard Hofmann-Wellenhof: GNSS — Global Navigation Satellite Systems: GPS, GLONASS, Galileo & More. Coauthors are Herbert Lichtenegger and Elmar Wasle.

The 450-page textbook is a university-level introductory publicatioin intended to serve as a reference for students, professionals, and scientists working in the fields of geodesy, surveying engineering, navigation, and related disciplines. Sections cover satellite orbits, signals, and observables, data processing and transformation, as well as mathematical models for positioning. Separate sections cover GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and other system developments.

Director of the Institute of Navigation and Satellite Geodesy at Austria’s Graz University of Technology, Hofmann-Wellenhof previously authored GPS — Theory and Practice.
