Melody Ward Leslie

Melody Ward Leslie writes the Inside GNSS Human Engineering column. She serves as associate director of development communications for the University of Oregon, a position that benefits from knowledge and connections gained in her previous assignments as the university’s science writer and as a public information officer.

She has received many honors for her work, including a grand gold award from CASE, the association for university advancement professionals.

A fourth generation Oregonian, she holds a bachelor’s degree in humanities from the University of Oregon. She lives with her husband and daughter in Eugene, Oregon, USA. Her son is an engineering major at Oregon State University.
