Eliza Schmidkunz

Eliza Schmidkunz is a seasoned marketing communications practitioner who has spent 20 years in the Pacific Northwest translating clients’ left-brain requirements into right-brain creativity. She cofounded Gibbons Media and Research LLC in 2005.

From 2001 to 2007, she was responsible for internal and external communications for the University of Oregon School of Law. While there, she received a gold award for copywriting and a silver award for the law school catalog from CASE, the association for university advancement professionals.

Before that, she worked in a number of creative and marketing management positions in medicine and the natural sciences. These included the University of Oregon Museum of Natural and Cultural History and its archaelogical research arm, a large west coast hospital consortium and its women’s health education center, a museum exhibit and retail design firm, and a health maintenance organization.

Eliza attended the University of California at Santa Cruz and Riverside. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication, where she specialized in advertising. She lives in Eugene, Oregon, USA.
