The 2012 International Conference on Indoor Positioning and Indoor Navigation (IPIN) will take place at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia From November 13 to 15.

The keynote, by Google's Waleed Kadous, is "The Indoor Tipping Point: Lessons from Indoor at Scale." 

IPIN organizers say it is the largest meeting dedicated entirely to indoor positioning. Those who seek a solution for a particular indoor positioning  task and would like to watch how various systems perform or would like to demonstrate their own system are encouraged to attend.

Topic areas of particular interest to readers of Inside GNSS include hybrid IMU pedestrian navigation, high sensitivity GNSS, GNSS Indoors, IMES; Pseudolites and Locata; iGPS; Framework for hybrid positioing and many others.

The conference chairs are Chris Rizos, UNSW, and Rainer Mautz, ETH. The conference directors are Andrew Dempster, UNSW, and Binghao Li, UNSW.

The two previous IPIN conferences took place in Zurich, Switzerland and Guimaraes, Portugal
