Mikhail N. Krasilshchikov

Mikhail Krasilshchikov is a professor (Dr.Sc.) in the College of Intelligent Systems and Robotics at the Moscow State Aviation Institute (Technical University), where he heads the department of Information and Control Complexes of Aerospace Vehicles.

He has participated in the design of control and navigation algorithms for numerous Russian satellite systems including GLONASS, BURAN, KOSKON, METRIKA, and the first Soviet geostationary satellite.

Krasilshchikov is the author of more than 200 research books and articles on navigational control of flying vehicles and control theory and design. He is on the editorial board of the Russian Academy of Sciences magazine, Control Theory and Systems, and its English version, Journal of Computer and Systems Sciences International.

In 2005, he received a Russian Federation Government prize and was selected a Distinguished Scientist of the Russian Federation in 1999. In 1989 he received the Konstantin Tsiolkovsky Medal of the Soviet Cosmonauts Federation.

Krasilshchikov received his Ph.D. and Dr.Sc. degrees from the Moscow Aviation Institute, a leading design center for major space efforts and programs as well as being Russia’s premier academic institution in that field.
