The Institution of Engineering and Technology's April seminar on Galileo and GNSS includes what organizers call a "rare chance" to hear the UK government's point of view on key challenges and funding of Europe's Galileo satellite navigation system over the next twelve months.

Speaker Ann Sta has been head of the Galileo Program Division at the Transportation Department since January 2008 and deputy chair of the GSA Administrative board since January 2009.  She is a career civil servant and spent four years as head of Aviation Airspace Division responsible for Single European Sky and SESAR.

GNSS-10:The Future of Satellite Navigation will take place on Thursday April 29. The all-day event includes presentations, discussion, and networking opportunities  at the IET headquarters in Savoy Place, London.

In addition to Sta, speakers include engineers leading the Galileo project and GNSS experts from EADS Astrium, Helios, Roke Manor Research Ltd, SSTL, Logica and University College London.

Cost ranges from €60 to €399 plus VAT. Full registration information is available on the IET website.
