FIGURE 14: Simulated FFT-based signal image for a two-dimensional antenna array: Direct and multipath signals are simulated; direct signal carrier-to-noise ratio is 40 dB-Hz; multipath signal power is three decibels lower than the direct signal power; angles between X and Y axes of the antenna array and direct signal are simulated as 90 and 46 degrees, respectively; angles between X and Y axes of the antenna array and multipath signal are simulated as 90 and 134 degrees, respectively; energy peaks are clearly observed for cases where the antenna beam is steered towards the direct signal and multipath.
