FIGURE 5: FFT-based multi-directional beam steering: In this simulation, a 2D GPS signal image contains the received direct signal and a multipath reflection; each image pixel corresponds to a particular 2D steering angle derived from the FFT frequency grid; multiple signal sources (such as direct and multipath signals) can be identified and processed based on the signal image.
