Ron Beard

Ron Beard has been with the Naval Research Laboratory from 1971 until the present.

He was a project scientist in the TIMATION Project and in 1984 became the head of the Space Applications Branch and the NRL GPS Clock Development Program.

He is the Navy member of the Reliance Frequency Control Panel; chair of the ITU-R Special Rapporteur Group on the future of the UTC Time Scale; and international chairman of ITU-R Working Party Group 7A, Precise Time and Frequency Broadcast Services.
