Bill Woodward, P. E., is a principal electrical engineer with UrsaNav, Inc., in Chesapeake, Virginia USA

Since leaving the U.S. Navy submarine force in 1992, he has developed electronic and electrical equipment for shipboard propulsion control systems, sonar systems, and navigation systems.

He has served three terms as chairman of the Electronics Technicians Association, International (ETA).

In addition, Woodward chairs or co-chairs three committees within SAE International’s Aerospace Avionic Systems Division and is the author of a best-selling textbook on fiber-optics.
